Senior Airworthiness Engineer

Purpose of the job

To facilitate and ensure that design solutions meet certification and airworthiness requirements in an effective manner throughout the design process.
To ensure any reported failures, malfunctions or defects associated with AHUK designs are assessed to determine effects on the continuing airworthiness of the product.
To ensure any necessary corrective actions are carried out in an appropriate timescales.

Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Engineering degree or equivalent

  • 5-10 years working within design / engineering environment with electrical / avionic bias

  • Computer literate in MS Office desktop applications

  • Sound working knowledge of EASA IR 21J DOA obligations

  • A broad engineering knowledge of aircraft airframe and electrical and mechanical systems

    Senior Avionics Design Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is required to provide designs for concept and integration of avionic mission equipment to meet Customer requirements.
    To translate proposed concept into detailed design in compliance with Certification requirements.
    Provide leadership and direction for engineering work packages.

    Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.

  • In addition to related qualification and training, 5-15years working within design / engineering environment with electrical / avionic and mission system integration.

  • Computer literate in MS Office desktop applications

  • A good working knowledge of:
    Equipment qualification process and related standards,
    FAR/JAR/CS 27 and 29 Certification Requirements and
    EASA IR 21J DOA and MAA DAOS process and practice (preferably both but at least one).

    Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for providing mechanical design solutions on a wide range of Airbus helicopters for integration of mission equipment ranging from external loads to internal cabin configuration (mission control panels, VIP interior, storage systems) as well as ‘in- service’ support of existing aircraft.

    Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Minimum of 10 years industry related experience in aircraft/rotorcraft

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience with a lesser formal qualification

  • Understanding of national and international regulatory authorities standards and codes of practice and procedures

  • Proficient in the use of CATIA V5 and AutoCAD Lt

  • Computer literate in MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel

    Chief Commercial Officer

    Purpose of the job

    The Chief Commercial Officer is to provide financial and commercial support to the Head of Defence Business and other members of the Defence Department. This vacancy is more weighted to the financial aspects of the role

    Minimum requirements

  • Experience working within aviation programmes

  • Experience of design and management of project control functions within complex, large-scale programmes

    Senior Certification Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    The Senior Certification Engineer is responsible for Airworthiness and Certification activities in support of approval of changes and in service support thereafter.

    Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Minimum of 10 years industry related experience in aircraft/rotorcraft or equivalent

  • Working Knowledge of FAR/JAR/CS 27 and 29 Certification Specifications

  • Working Knowledge of EASA IR 21J DOA and MAA DAOS process and practices

  • Sound understanding of Aircraft System and Software Safety Analysis processes

  • A broad engineering knowledge of aircraft airframe, electrical and mechanical systems

  • Good working knowledge and well-practiced in compliance findings with certification codes

  • Equipment qualification processes and related standards, (Civil and / or equivalent Military Requirements)

  • Design integration experience and a proven track record of technical knowledge

  • Previous experience as a CVE, or sufficient experience to achieve this role within a short period

  • Basic Security Clearance is required for this position due to Oxford Airport Security requirements

  • Be prepared to travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements

    Maintenance Planner

    Purpose of the job

    The Senior Certification Engineer is responsible for Part M/A8-25 medium/short term planning requirements, Part 145/A8-23 material planning requirements and the production of work-packs to support aircraft scheduled maintenance inputs. Review of Aircraft base maintenance work packages prior to A/C departure. Update of Maintenance tracking system post maintenance interventions. The Part M/A8-25 planner is also responsible for raising and the upkeep of the maintenance forecasting sheet(s).

    Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • 5 years previous experience in a Maintenance Planning role essential

  • Knowledge of Airbus Helicopter Products and their related MSM’s preferable
