Engineering Operations Analyst–UKMFTS

Purpose of the job

The Engineering Operations Analyst is responsible for defining, measuring, analysing, improving, and controlling the UKMFTS rotary wing operational and engineering processes to support improved decision making, with the aim to: reduce of aircraft downtime; Improve efficiency of operations and maximise profitability.

Minimum requirements

  • Valid UK work permit

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering

  • Ability to gain SC clearance

  • High IT and computing literacy with ERP, MIS, SAP and SQL

  • Proven track record managing industrial continuous improvement analyses using techniques such as Six Sigma, SPC, etc.

    AEA/SE Technician – UKMFTS

    Purpose of the job

    The AEA/SE Technician is to provide AEA/SE support to the AEA/SE Senior Technician on all matters concerning AEA/SE during the ramp up period and onto Full Operating Capability. They are to provide a supporting function to ensure that the MFTS AEA/SE area meets current regulations, is correctly equipped to maintain MoD supplied AEA/SE and set up AEA/SE working processes and procedures including the receipt /dispatch of AEA/SE to Ascent Staff and students and Airbus MFTS Pilots.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Valide UK work permit
  • Experience of SE/AEA Maintenance Operations
  • Experience in using Military Engineering Publications and Documentation, in particular the MAA (Military Aviation Authority) regulations contained within the 4000 series
  • Relevant 'Q' annotations within the Survival Equipment trade i.e. Q-SE-AC / AV-MED-SE, Q-SE-NVG Military or Civilian AEA/SE Qualification
  • H&SAW, COSHH, Risk & Manual Handling Qualification
  • Hold a Survival Equipment qualification or have completed Royal Air Force/Royal Navy Basic Trade Training Survival Equipment
  • Have rotary/transport aircraft AEA/SE experience
  • Computer literacy in web based engineering publications and experience of MS-Word and Excel
