    Airworthiness Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    To Provide Part “M” Airworthiness Support Function within the Technical Services Department. This includes but is not exclusive to:

  • Periodical reviews of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes against fleet Maintained Aircraft.
  • Implementing/validating changes to the Maintenance Programmes in the MIS arising from revisions to the AMP ensure compliance against aircraft configuration.
  • Monitoring and implementing actions arising from applicability requirements ascertained as part of incoming airworthiness data review.
  • Minimum requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).

  • Human factors training undertaken.

  • Recognised Part M Training Course accomplished.

  • Recognised Part 145 Training Course accomplished.

    Purpose of the job

  • To facilitate and ensure that design solutions meet certification and airworthiness requirements in an effective manner throughout the design process.

    MFTS Aircraft Refueller/Handler

    Purpose of the job

    The Aircraft Refueller/Handler is responsible for ensuring that the aircraft fleet are positioned and appropriately fuelled to schedule in support of Flight Operations and Base Maintenance activities.

    Main responsibilities :
  • To handle and refuel aircraft in accordance with JIG regulations and compliance with Health and Safety regulations and security requirements, including Rotors Running Refuels.
  • To ensure Health and Safety is maintained and respected at all times including internal policy.
  • Supplying fuel to aircraft by tanker vehicles and ensuring that the correct quantity of fuel is delivered.
  • Operating in accordance with JIG, IATA, Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs and ASIG regulations and procedures.
  • Conducting vehicle checks by carrying out the designated quality control procedures. Identifying any defects found and reporting accordingly.
  • Reporting any incidents and providing reports as required.
  • Minimum requirements

  • Aircraft re-fuelling experience.

    Aircraft Mechanical Fitter

    Purpose of the job

    The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135 fleet.
    Non-certifying role.

    Main responsibilities :
  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
  • Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
  • Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general house keeping responsibilities.
  • Minimum requirements

  • Experience of Base Maintenance.

  • Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.

    Purpose of the job

    The B1 Certifying Engineer is responsible for the certification of line, non-routine maintenance and repair on Airbus H135/H145 rotorcraft. Type training will be provided for a suitable candidate.

    Project Manager

    Purpose of the job

    The MFTS (RW) Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Business Manager in the oversight of aircraft modification projects resulting from contract change requests.
    This will involve close liaison with the Engineering Design Office and Project Management Office based at Airbus Helicopters UK HQ at Oxford Airport, therefore requiring regular travel.

    Main responsibilities :
  • Ensure the timely completion and oversight of aircraft modification projects.
  • Manage internal quotes for contract changes, in particular those relating to aircraft modifications.
  • Monitor cost performance of aircraft modification projects.
  • Act as the main conduit between the MFTS management team based at RAF Shawbury and the Engineering Design Office (DO) and Project Management Office (PMO) at the AHUK HQ at Oxford Airport on topics relating to MFTS aircraft modification projects.
  • Design and present weekly reports to senior management on progress of aircraft modification projects.
  • Develop and maintain early warning systems relating to project performance.
  • Minimum requirements

    This role is aimed at an individual at an early-mid career point, holding approximately 5 years experience performing an engineering project management skill based role.

  • Must have an academic background in mechanical, electrical, or aeronautical engineering

  • Must have up to date knowledge of EASA Part 21 Sub-parts G and J regulations

  • Must have knowledge of the engineering requirements setting and design maturity process

  • Must have strong project management skills

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills – written, verbal, and visual will make up for a lack of work experience

    Purpose of the job

    Based within the Contract Office at RAF Shawbury, the Commercial Manager will act as the focal point for all contract related activity on the MFTS (RW) contract.
    They will be supporting the Senior Business Manager in the oversight of all Commercial and Contract activities, and will be required to build an in depth level of understanding of the contract terms & conditions.

    Main responsibilities :
  • Assist in the management of contract changes, ensuring changes are logged, and change proposals drafted.
  • Document and monitor all minor contract deliverables.
  • Document, maintain, and identify necessary internal commercial processes.
  • Report on contract performance penalties.
  • Assist in negotiations over contract performance penalties.
  • Draft commercial letters relating to operational activities including relief on contractual obligations.
  • Monitor company policies to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Analyse contract performance and provide recommendations for adjustments for improvement.
  • Assist in maintenance of cost to completion forecasts.
