UK MFTS (Rotary Wing) Trainer

Purpose of the job

The MFTS (Rotary Wing) Trainer will be required to:
Manage, coordinate and deliver engineering training activities for the MFTS (RW) Programme H135 & H145 civil range of helicopters as detailed in the MTOE and approved by the AHUK Training Manager (TM)
Develop and deliver the required continuation training, as local supplement to AHUK CT only
Develop and deliver OJT for MFTS GSE equipment to defined syllabus acceptable to the AHUK Quality Manager (QM)
Analyse training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs, to be approved by the TM/QM

Minimum requirements

  • Right to work

  • Security Clearance – existing SC/CTC or no restriction on obtaining it

  • Knowledge and demonstrable skill in: theory of helicopter flight and aircraft engineering principles, design and development, teaching and instruction of adult and young adult individuals and groups, and the measurement of training solutions in the aerospace industry

  • Detailed knowledge of EASA & CAA Training Regulations and Human Factors in Aviation

  • Previous experience in the design and development of successful military or civil training projects

  • Aviation based Instructional experience

  • At least 5 GCE O levels and 2 A levels

  • An aviation training qualification

  • Aircraft maintenance experience

  • Civil /Military Training Instructional qualification

    MFTS Quality Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    The Quality Engineer works within the Quality environment and is responsible for performing Internal Audits on Operations, Maintenance, Continuing Airworthiness, and Maintenance Training.
    They will be responsible for:
    Supporting the MFTS Project Quality Manager in Safety Management Systems activities and promotes Airbus Safety and Just Culture ethos
    Auditing and reporting on performance in daily operations within the scope of EASA Regulations and MRP Requirements;
    Applying corrective/preventative actions to external audits.
    Inputting data to Quality Department databases.
    Deputise for MFTS Project Quality Manager in periods of absence. (with support from AHUK Quality Manager)

  • Experience in a regulated aviation environment in a ‘quality function’

  • Experience as Lead Auditor including audit report writing

  • Experience of QMS in EASA Part 145, MRP and Part M environments

  • Knowledge of CAP 562 Leaflet B40/MRP Part 145 regulations

  • Experience of fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft Product Audits

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent

    Mechanical Design Engineer

    Purpose of the job

    The Mechanical Design Engineer is required to:
    mechanical design solutions on a wide range of Airbus helicopters for integration of mission equipment ranging from external loads to auxiliary fuel tank systems as well as ‘in-service’ support of existing aircraft
    Develop cost effective design solutions to technical and commercial requirements placed on the design office
    Undertake reporting or documentation tasks associated with a work package to comply with the certification, airworthiness and environmental protection requirements as listed in the Certification Plan for the modification, for which an appropriate level of understanding of applicable FAR/JAR/CS 27/29 requirements is necessary related to structural and/or mechanical design

    Purpose of the job

    The B2 Engineer will be required to:
    Carry out the Avionics/Electrical maintenance and repair on Airbus rotorcraft. AS350, AS355 Series, AS365, EC120, EC130, EC135, EC145 and EC155.

    Part 145/A8-23 material planning requirements to support aircraft scheduled maintenance inputs.

    Purpose of the job

    The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in discharging the duties and responsibilities of the technical services department. Primarily responsible for the day to supervision of the airworthiness & publications section, supporting airworthiness activity, prioritising and delegating tasks and demands placed upon the airworthiness and publications section in the course of normal business activity.

    The Senior Certification Engineer is responsible for Airworthiness and Certification activities in support of approval of changes and in service support thereafter.

    Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Working Knowledge of FAR/JAR/CS 27 and 29 Certification Specifications
