UKMFTS B1 Certifying Engineer (Base) - RAF Shawbury

Purpose of the job

The B1 Certifying Engineer (Base) is responsible for the certification of Base, scheduled and non-routine maintenance and repair on Airbus H135 rotorcraft. Type training will be provided for a suitable candidate.

Minimum requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • 3 years’ experience in a certifying role or equivalent

  • Experience of Base Maintenance

  • Leadership, experience as a lead engineer or Crew Chief

  • EASA Part 66 B1.3 Licence (Turbine Rotorcraft)

  • Required travel between Shawbury, Valley and areas dictated by operational requirements (deployments on a 3 weekly cycle).

    Purpose of the job

    The Engineering Operations Analyst is responsible for defining, measuring, analysing, improving, and controlling the UKMFTS rotary wing operational and engineering processes to support improved decision making, with the aim to: reduce of aircraft downtime; Improve efficiency of operations and maximise profitability.

    Purpose of the job

    To provide mechanical design solutions on a wide range of Airbus Helicopters' aircraft for integration of mission equipment such as external loads to internal cabin configuration, as well as in service support of aircraft.

  • 15 years' experience or equivalent

  • Knowledge and experience of CATIA v5, AutoCAD's LT

  • Availability to work overseas for short periods, potentially of 2-3 weeks

  • Ability to deliver reporting and documentation tasks associated with certification, airworthiness and environmental protection requirements

    Purpose of the job

    To provide administrative support to all areas of Airbus Helicopters UK.
    Ensure busy diary commitments, papers and travel arrangements are managed effectively including producing a daily folder with diary, necessary papers etc. and troubleshooting problems.
    Coordinate travel and accommodation requirements in connection with others and ensure arrangements in place for the MD match his requirements.
    Ensure the MD is fully briefed on, or prepared for, any engagements he is involved in.
    Keep and maintain an accurate record of papers and electronic correspondence on behalf of the MD.
    Prepare correspondence on behalf of the MD, including the drafting of general replies.
    Minute general meetings as required and complete research on behalf of the MD. Keep and retrieve files.
    Provide Reception lunch, holiday and sickness cover as required.
