Award-winning apprenticeship programme in operation for more than 35 years which enables Airbus Helicopters in the UK to meet the 5% Club target (of which we are a member via Airbus Group). The scheme, which helps develop EASA-recognised, qualified engineers, takes five years to complete and is open to school and college leavers. On completion, participants are also awarded a National Certificate (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, depending on development path). Apprentice intake limited to UK residents only. Standard age limit of 19 years of age at commencement of training. Minimum entry qualifications required for engineering apprentices are grade "B" GCSE in Maths and Physics and grade "C" in English.

2019 Apprentice Intake

2 for Mechanical Helicopter Aviation, (B1).

The last day for application is Friday 15th March.
Age range 16 – 21 years.
The apprenticeship is open to UK citizens only.

From year 2 the new apprentices will study for their module exams and attend courses at LRTT in Cirencester whilst being deployed in the Installations and Maintenance hangars for work experience and mentoring as arranged by the Training Manager.

The successful applicant would need to be able to make their own way to Abingdon, Kidlington and Cirencester for training as required.
